Introduction & Background
Introduction
The Creative Reset is a community effort to reimagine how Austin supports arts, culture, music, and heritage. This citywide initiative is led by the Austin Arts, Culture, Music and Entertainment Department (ACME).
The goal is to help shape a more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable creative future for Austin.
Creative Reset includes multiple phases that will help guide the future of ACME programs, services, and community investments.
- Phase 1 focused on improving cultural funding programs to better support artists and arts, culture, heritage, and music organizations. ACME completed the first funding cycle and is currently reviewing applications for the second cycle.
To learn more about Phase 1, visit AustinTexas.gov/ACME.
- Phase 2 focuses on strengthening City of Austin arts and cultural centers, museums, and entertainment spaces through community input. The first round of community engagement has been completed, and ACME is now beginning a second engagement phase to further refine ideas and recommendations shared by the community.
This survey is an opportunity for you to share your perspective and help ensure the community remains at the center of this process.
