Through preliminary research, including recommendations from the National Association of Latino Elected Officials (NALEO), the City identified several possible approaches. Which should the City consider?

Please select up to three (3) options that are most important to you.

Add interpretive or educational signage: Keep the current street name and add signs along the street explaining its history and the concerns surrounding the name
Add an honorary street name: Keep the official street name and add an honorary name, similar to the portion of Second Street known as Willie Nelson Boulevard. The honorary name would still need to meet the City's naming criteria
Develop educational resources about the street name: Keep the current name and create resources such as school materials, library programs, or webpages about its history and the concerns surrounding it
Move forward with renaming the entire street without an additional naming strategy
Keep the current street name without additional action
