Reed Park Water Quality Improvement Project
Reed Park Water Quality Improvement Project
The Watershed Protection Department is planning a project to reduce flooding, erosion, and pollution in Reed Park. The project area is located within the Taylor Slough Watershed that drains into the Colorado River to the west of the park.
This project will improve water quality, reduce erosion, and restore the natural habitat of waterways in the park. The project will also include other improvements like an ADA accessible pathway that circles the pond and provides access to the footbridge on the northwest corner of the park.
This project is currently in the Preliminary Engineering Phase and will move into design later this year (2023). We plan to complete the design phase in 2024 and anticipate construction to begin in 2025.
