About the 2026 Conference

Policymakers, advocates, practitioners, community leaders, business owners and other key stakeholders are invited to join the City of Austin for a free, all-day conference with continental breakfast and lunch included. The day will include:

  • Panel discussions on housing stability, neighborhood conditions, and Austin’s Economic Mobility framework.
  • Dedicated sessions on the latest Fair Housing law updates, giving practitioners and advocates practical tools to stay ahead of a changing landscape.
  • An interactive workshop unveiling the City's new Levers of Economic Mobility Index (LEMI), a tool that helps us understand how housing, health, work, and neighborhood conditions connect to shape a resident's ability to thrive, and where we can act together to change it.
  • CLE credit opportunities for eligible attendees.
  • Informal networking throughout the day, connecting advocates, practitioners, and professionals working across sectors toward a more equitable Austin.
  • A framework that highlights neighborhood disparities, uses data and community insights to inform decisions, and supports coordinated planning and shared outcomes.
